Your first visit

At The Village Orthodontics, we offer a wide variety of orthodontic treatments to patients of all ages. Our goal is to help you or your child achieve a smile that you are proud to show off. We go above and beyond to make orthodontic treatments as convenient as possible for our patients, as we value high-quality care and complete patient satisfaction. 

Before Your Visit

At your initial consultation, our orthodontists and the team will evaluate your smile and help you determine the orthodontic treatment you need. If you are bringing your young child for their first visit, please talk to them about what to expect beforehand. Make sure not to make too big of a deal about it or get too nervous; children tend to pick up on your nervousness and it can make them anxious as well. Let your child know that we’ll simply be looking inside his or her mouth and we’ll also spend some time talking to you two. 

During The Visit

The first thing we’ll do during the visit is to spend a few minutes getting to know you and your child and discuss what we’ll be doing. After everyone is acclimated, we’ll perform a gentle examination of your mouth. If any orthodontic treatments are needed, we’ll explain what they are, how they’re performed, and why we recommend them. At the end of the appointment, we’ll discuss a treatment plan and, once everything has been confirmed, we will begin treatment on the same day. If needed, we can also schedule a follow-up visit or a different day to start the treatment.
